3.) People that are suffering from a panic disorder will not have panic attacks in relation to substance use or abuse. This person will not suffer attacks from a medical condition that they may be suffering from either.
4.) A different mental condition such as obsessive compulsive disorder, or post traumatic stress disorder does not better explain the panic attacks.

Agoraphobia means that the person has fear that of being in a place, or a situation, in which he, or she, is not able to get away if they are having a panic attack. Most of the time, the person has a really strong fear of being in a group with a lot of people, or in a crowd. However, the person may also be afraid to be alone. Because of these feelings, the person will generally avoid these situations. This can make it very difficult for the person to function normally, and to engage in activities that they need to complete in order to be responsible.
